Blind Curriculum Vitae

Based on our commitment to equality and promoting a transparent selection process, at Asseco Spain Group we are committed to receiving your resume in person.

What is a blind CV?

It is a job summary that omits information related to your personal characteristics, focusing on highlighting your education, experience, and/or professional skills.

How to make a blind CV?

1. Choose an identifier to replace your name.

For example, it could be your initials (MCB, ID, etc.).

This identifier should be easy for you to remember because it will be the ID we will use to contact you.

2. Avoid including personal information such as a photograph, ID, date of birth or age, marital status, dependent children, nationality, or beliefs and circumstances. If you have a disability certificate, we recommend that you include it, although without specifying the type of disability.

3. It is important that you identify your place of residence without specifying your address.

4. It is recommended to use an email address that is not your name.

5. Regarding your education, professional experience, languages and skills:

– Use the name of the degree you completed, and the period/dates you studied. The name of the institution where you studied is not required, but it can be included.

– About your experience, mention: job title, company, period worked, duties, and achievements.

– Remember to add the languages you know; you can specify both oral and written levels.

– As skills, refer to the most relevant ones for your candidacy.

6. Review the content of your CV and ensure that the job description, tasks, etc. are written using inclusive and gender-neutral language:

– Generic nouns (e.g., was part of the web development team).

– Words that express universality (e.g., “I worked with a team of people” instead of “I worked with other developers”).

– Refer to your position, not the person (e.g., “technical director of web development” instead of “technical director of web development”).

– Use gender-neutral pronouns (e.g., “quien, quién” instead of “aquellas/aquéllos”).

– Look for alternative expressions and neutral resources.

And what happens when they call me?
After all, some of my own personal traits will be identified on the call.

Our commitment to equality and non-discrimination goes beyond receiving CVs in the dark.

We assess your experience and training, both on your CV and during the interview, not based on your personal characteristics but on your professional value.

At Asseco, we look for committed people who know how to work as a team and whose performance is optimal, regardless of gender, age, nationality, or sexual orientation.

If your professional profile fits the position we’re looking for, we want to work with you.

Advantages of creating a blind CV

– Eliminate bias by avoiding selection based on physical appearance in a photo, age, gender, etc.

– Recruitment based on cronyism or favoritism is avoided . With blind resumes, the selection process is more transparent and less unfair.

– A positive selection is made: the data in the blind CV is strictly professional, so elements are sought that make the candidate stand out based on objective merits.
