Asseco Spain Group attended the Conference on Generative Artificial Intelligence organized by the UAM-Asseco Chair in Innovation Economics and Management. The Chair aims to promote education, research, dissemination, and knowledge exchange in the field of innovation.
During the event, which featured the participation of Jose Antonio Pinilla, CEO & Chairman of the technology holding company Asseco Spain Group and president of the UAM-Asseco Chair, the fundamental role that artificial intelligence plays in education and research was addressed in a practical manner, as well as the skills needed to make the most of this technology in the academic field.
The main focus was the session “Introduction to Generative AI and its Application,” led by the CEO of Asseco. During this session, concepts such as Big Data, Machine Learning, AI, and the different types of generative artificial intelligence currently available were explored, as well as the fundamental aspects that must be considered to master the technique of prompting (initial instructions from an artificial intelligence system to guide it in generating specific content or to provide the desired responses).
The event also served as a space for the exchange of ideas and knowledge, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between academia and the technology sector. The event demonstrated how generative artificial intelligence can revolutionize the way we teach, learn, and innovate in the 21st century.
“Technology is a powerful ally in the educational process and in the training of future generations of workers, but it is also an essential part of education. It is essential that we use technology as a complement to, not a replacement for, education. Preparing future generations for the technological market, without losing sight of the fundamental aspects of learning, must be key to building a complete and enriching education,” said Jose Antonio Pinilla, CEO & Chairman of the Asseco Spain Group.
